1. American Addiction Centers Names Dr. David Hans, Ellen-Jo Boschert New Co-CEOs
American Addiction Centers (ACC) announced that Dr. David Hans and Ellen-Jo Boschert will be taking over the company as co-CEOs.
Dr. Tom Britton, who served as the CEO for nearly two years, appears to be leaving the company.
This new role is an internal promotion for both Hans and Boschert. Hans previously served as the company’s chief clinical and compliance officer. Before joining the American Addiction Centers, he served as the CEO of Haven Behavioral Hospital in Albuquerque. His resume also includes a stint as CEO of Acadia Healthcare’s Life Healing Center.

Nystrom & Associates today announced the grand opening of their newest Wisconsin clinics in Green Bay and Oshkosh. 4. Ideal Option Opens Yet Another Medication Assisted Treatment Clinics
Ideal Option, a national leader in evidence-based outpatient treatment for addiction to fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine, alcohol and polysubstance, has opened a new addiction medicine center in Yakima.
This new facility in Yakima is only the latest edition to their expanding network.
In November …
they opened a new clinic in Spokane.
they also partnered with Helping Hands homeless shelter to see patients once a week.
they opened a new clinic in Monroe.
they opened a new clinic in Park Heights.
5. Patients Are More Interested In Ketamine Treatment Than Ever Before

It’s likely that the drastic spike in search interest is related to the Ketamine overdose death of Mathew Perry.
However, aside from the recent spike in interest, it’s also clear that interest in Ketamine as a treatment option has been increasing over the last 5 years.
Interestingly, most upstart Ketamine clinics are already going bust, likely to the over expansion and VC bubble from investors looking to take advantage of the growth opportunities.
Our prediction is that as the market settles down, there will be clear winners in the space and the treatment modality itself will become more accepted and viable for investors.
